TWG Tea Premieres New Short Film Celebrating Its White Tea Collection

Luxury tea brand TWG Tea has unveiled a new short film dedicated to its celebrated White Tea Collection, marking a continued exploration of one of the world’s rarest and most delicate tea categories.

Once reserved for emperors, white tea has long been defined by its purity, restraint, and minimal processing. TWG Tea’s latest showcase reinterprets this heritage through a modern lens, blending tradition with contemporary innovation to introduce white tea to a new generation of tea enthusiasts.

A cinematic tribute to white tea craftsmanship

The newly premiered short film presents a cinematic journey of white tea, tracing its transformation from early spring harvest to final infusion. Through this visual narrative, TWG Tea highlights the craftsmanship, rarity, and quiet elegance that define white tea production.

Among the least processed of all tea types, white tea is harvested at its earliest stage and gently withered and dried, preserving its natural form. The result is a tea characterised by silvery buds, fine downy leaves, and a pale, luminous infusion, qualities that have historically made it both highly prized and highly exclusive.

Expanding the language of white tea

TWG Tea continues to evolve its white tea portfolio by pushing the boundaries of flavour and form while preserving its essential purity.

At the centre of this evolution is White Night Jasmine Tea, which combines rare Yin Zhen white tea tips with the soft fragrance of night-blooming jasmine. The blend is presented in a modern 100% cotton teabag format, with each teabag hand-sewn and filled with whole leaves to maintain the integrity of loose-leaf tea while offering everyday convenience.

This creation joins a wider collection of thirty-seven white teas, including single-estate harvests, exclusive blends, and tea flowers. Notable expressions such as White Gold Tea, White Sky Tea, and White Darjeeling further demonstrate the brand’s depth of expertise in this rare category.

Yin Zhen silver needle blends and innovation

A key highlight of TWG Tea’s white tea programme is its use of Yin Zhen “silver needles”, harvested from the youngest spring buds and prized for their natural purity and refined character.
