Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – You can enjoy Vol. 2 without watching Vol. 1

I caught the preview screening for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 last night and it was fun. I finally know what all the fuss is about the talking raccoon with a bad attitude (Rocket) and the cute tree trunk superhero that has been shrunk to baby size (Groot). The humour is edgy and the characters are really quirky, not your usual goody two shoes superheroes. The storyline moves really quickly, supercharging you with battle scenes and mad space chases, one after another. While most other superheroes like the Avengers or the X-men are contended with just saving planet...

According to a report on Today Online, the police have arrested a 46-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman for an offence of public nuisance. Online vigilante Ang Tock Seng gets a taste of his own medicine

If I am Ang Tock Seng, I will not be sleeping easy tonight. Karma works in a strange way. Ang should know. He believes in karma too, as he said so himself in his Facebook post, fingering a “Cherry Tan” as the female culprit in the hawker centre pushing incident at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market and Food Centre on Saturday: It seems he Ang had fingered the wrong person. Now, Cherry Tan has made a police report against him for harassment and may be taking further action against him for the unnecessary distress he had caused her: Ang...
