Coliwoo Holdings Limited has announced the opening of Coliwoo Resort Changi this month, introducing Singapore’s first resort style co living hotel. Located along Jalan Loyang Besar on the site of a former state-owned holiday chalet, the new property marks Coliwoo’s latest adaptive reuse project and expands the company’s hospitality portfolio with a nature inspired living concept.

The 380-room development is Coliwoo’s third largest property after Coliwoo Orchard and Coliwoo Boon Lay. Spanning more than 380,000 square feet of land with a gross floor area of nearly 107,000 square feet, the resort combines accommodation, commercial spaces and a wide range of shared amenities to create a community focused environment for both short- and long-term stays.
Strategically located in Singapore’s eastern corridor, Coliwoo Resort Changi is designed to cater to a diverse mix of guests, including international students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, airline crew members, business travellers, leisure visitors and corporate professionals. The property enjoys close proximity to Changi Airport, Changi Business Park and the Pasir Ris and Loyang industrial belt, while also offering convenient access to Pasir Ris Park and Downtown East.
Residents can enjoy nearby outdoor activities such as cycling and kayaking at Pasir Ris Park, while Downtown East is just a short walk away. Changi Airport and Changi Business Park are both approximately 10 minutes by car, with the future Terminal 5 expected to further strengthen the area’s connectivity and long-term growth potential.
Designed as a tranquil retreat from city life, the development draws inspiration from Singapore’s colonial era black and white bungalows. A timeless palette of black, white, timber and natural stone is paired with lush landscaping to create a calm and welcoming environment. Accommodation options range from spacious Maisonette units suitable for families and groups to private Studio units with open air settings, each equipped with everyday living essentials.

The resort offers an extensive range of facilities covering wellness, recreation and daily convenience. These include separate swimming pools for adults and children, a jacuzzi pool, a fully equipped gym, an outdoor sports court, co working lounge, karaoke rooms, children’s playground, outdoor event spaces, landscaped gardens, a community farming garden, as well as on site food and beverage options and a convenience store.
Community engagement is a central part of the resort concept, with regular activities planned around wellness, social interaction and family experiences. Wellness programmes include Yin Yoga and Sound Healing sessions, Gong Meditation and Wellness Raves that combine music and movement. Residents can also participate in weekend barbecue gatherings, guided sunrise running clubs through Pasir Ris Park, nature walks and cycling activities. Families can look forward to school holiday programmes, staycation experiences and outdoor team building activities. Coliwoo is also exploring collaborations with nearby attractions to offer exclusive privileges and curated experiences for residents.
The launch of Coliwoo Resort Changi also continues the company’s commitment to adaptive reuse and sustainable development. The approximately 40-year-old former holiday chalet underwent a 10-month restoration that preserved nearly 40 percent of the existing landscape as well as the original terracotta roof tiles across the property.
Many of the site’s original materials have also been repurposed. Existing timber screens have been transformed into privacy screens, tabletops, benches, planter boxes and decorative feature walls, preserving elements of the property’s history while reducing waste. Additional sustainability features include solar energy systems, rainwater harvesting, food composting, electric vehicle charging facilities, energy efficient lighting, WELS certified sanitary fittings, ceiling fans to reduce reliance on air conditioning and a naturally ventilated cafeteria.
