Marina Bay Sands’ Sands for Singapore Charity Festival returns for its 12th edition this August, combining dining, entertainment and fundraising in support of local communities. We had a chance to sample several of the specially created dishes ahead of the festival, including selections from RISE Restaurant, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, Bread Street Kitchen and Miracle Coffee.
At RISE Restaurant over at Marina Bay Sands Hotel, we were treated to familiar Singaporean flavours with their chicken satay and prawn paste chicken which will be available at the Good Bites Market from 28 to 30 August.

At Black Tap, the highlight was their signature All-American Burger, a substantial burger built around a juicy beef patty with the familiar combination of cheese, fresh toppings and a soft bun. It delivers the indulgent, messy appeal that Black Tap is known for and makes for a satisfying festival bite.

Pair it with one of their gigantic milkshakes for the complete indulgence.

Bread Street Kitchen’s Gordon’s Fried Chicken with cheesy pull fries was another indulgent offering. The fried chicken was crisp on the outside while remaining tender inside, while the cheesy fries added an extra layer of richness.

We also sampled Miracle Coffee’s Kiku Cake and Mango Pineapple Fizz (S$18), available only from 10 to 30 August. The cake is shaped like Miracle Coffee’s mascot, Kiku that is almost too cute to cut up and eat while the mango pineapple fizz provided a bright, fruity and refreshing contrast.

These dishes are part of the wider Sands for Singapore Charity Festival, which has raised more than S$45 million for beneficiaries since its launch in 2013. This year’s fundraising efforts support AWWA’s Enabled Living @ Bedok programme, which helps persons with disabilities live more independently while supporting their wellbeing, autonomy and dignity.
The month-long Dine for Good campaign runs from 1 to 30 August, with 12 participating restaurants contributing proceeds from selected dishes to the cause. These include CUT by Wolfgang Puck, estiatorio Milos, KOMA, LAVO, Le Ju Xuan, Maison Boulud, Miracle Coffee, Mott 32, Origin + Bloom, Spago Bar & Lounge, WAKUDA and Yardbird.
The charity festival culminates at Event Plaza, Marina Bay Sands, running between 5 to 11pm, from 28 to 30 August. Admission is free. Visitors can look forward to the Good Bites Market featuring Black Tap, Bread Street Kitchen, RISE Restaurant, Café Nesuto and Roberta’s Pizza, alongside community booths, the Impact Match interactive game and complimentary performances by Singaporean musicians.
The Impact Match game allows visitors to create virtual school packs filled with essential supplies. Each successful digital pack will be matched by Marina Bay Sands for students at NorthLight School.
The Giving Marketplace will also feature 12 local non-profits, social enterprises and small businesses selling handcrafted goods, food and lifestyle products, with sales proceeds retained by the participating organisations.
