This Children’s Day, the spotlight truly belongs to the little ones at Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG). On Friday, 3 October 2025, the museum will host its first-ever “Children’s Takeover @ CMSG”, where Primary 4 and 5 students from Gan Eng Seng Primary School step into the shoes of museum staff for the day.
More than 30 students will take on front-of-house roles, from ticketing and guiding visitors to assisting with housekeeping. The initiative is designed to empower children with teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills, while giving them a rare behind-the-scenes look into museum operations. It’s also a playful way to spark curiosity and deepen their appreciation for heritage.
As part of its mission of inclusivity, CMSG continues to design programmes that are accessible to children of all needs and abilities. This expanded takeover marks the museum’s biggest children-led effort yet, offering young participants a unique chance to lead and learn.
Adding to the festive spirit, entry to CMSG will be free for all children from 3 to 5 October 2025. Families are encouraged to join in the celebration, explore interactive exhibits, and catch the special takeover at the 9:00am slot on 3 October.
Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis via the Children’s Museum Singapore website.
