NVPC and Tote Board Partner to Equip Non-Profits with Tools for Effective Impact Measurement

Non-profit organizations (NPOs) in Singapore now have a new resource to help them measure their effectiveness, thanks to a partnership between Tote Board and the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC).

The two organizations have collaborated to launch the ‘Guide to Impact Measurement – From Intent to Impact for Non-Profits.’

The guide’s launch event, drew approximately 280 leaders, including sector administrators, funders, and representatives from over 100 NPOs with Mr. Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Manpower, as the Guest-of-Honour.

Developed in consultation with 36 charities, seven sector administrators, and seven grant makers, the guide provides a comprehensive, step-by-step framework to help NPOs implement and sustain effective impact measurement.

The framework is built on four key pillars: Prepare, Plan, Implement, and Learn.

This structured approach allows organizations to move from simply having good intentions to demonstrating tangible results. The guide also serves as a valuable reference for funders and grant makers, helping them better engage with NPOs on the topic of impact.

The launch of the guide marks the beginning of a broader initiative by NVPC to scale up access to impact measurement knowledge and skills.

Following the publication, NVPC plans to offer workshops and peer-learning platforms to help NPOs apply the new framework. This effort is part of the second phase of NVPC’s Impact Measurement Programme, which aims to support 400 non-profit organizations by 2028.

The ‘Guide to Impact Measurement – From Intent to Impact for Non-Profits’ is available as a free download from the NVPC website.
