iQIYI Breaks Ground on First-Ever Theme Park, iQIYI LAND, in Yangzhou

iQIYI is bringing its beloved film and drama IPs to life with the launch of iQIYI LAND, its first comprehensive theme park set to open in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province later this year. This ambitious project merges cutting-edge technology with immersive storytelling, marking a bold step in iQIYI’s expansion beyond the screen.

A Next-Level Entertainment Destination

Designed to captivate visitors with seven interactive zones, iQIYI LAND will feature:

  • Immersive theaters
  • Holographic light experiences
  • Interactive performance spaces
  • Film set interactions
  • NPC (non-player character) experiences
  • Mixed reality (MR) party games
  • Offline adventure zones

Beyond the attractions, guests can indulge in themed dining, explore exclusive IP merchandise, and enjoy a range of activities designed to enhance local tourism.

Strategic Location & Cultural Impact

Nestled in Yangzhou’s “Ten Miles of the Grand Canal” demonstration zone, iQIYI LAND is set to become a landmark destination. Positioned just a short drive or high-speed rail trip from Shanghai, Nanjing, and Suzhou, the park ensures easy access for both domestic and international visitors. As part of a broader initiative to revitalize the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, iQIYI LAND will seamlessly blend entertainment, culture, and commerce, enriching the city’s tourism landscape.

Expanding IP Beyond the Screen

This venture builds on iQIYI’s success in offline entertainment, following the launch of immersive theaters integrating IP and VR technology across 40+ venues in over 20 cities. Themed experiences based on hit dramas like Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty II To the West have already drawn massive crowds, with over 100,000 visitors in the first year alone.

Additionally, the company’s first parent-child theme park, iQIYI QiBubbleSpace, debuted in 2023, bringing its original animation IPs to life for families. The demand for such experiences is evident—during the recent Chinese New Year, visitor numbers at iQIYI’s immersive theater surged by 206%, while streaming time for related dramas increased by 15%.
