The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) 2024 is making an urgent call for donations and volunteers as it faces its lowest support in the project’s 37-year history. With just days remaining, BBSG is 49% short of its targets as it strives to reach a record 51,185 beneficiaries, including families under the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s ComLink+ programme.
Yesterday marked the final day Boys’ Brigade members were on duty at physical collection points across NTUC FairPrice stores. However, donations remain at an all-time low, and volunteer sign-ups for Daily Deliveries continue to lag, with 464 out of 670 slots still unfilled.
As the campaign enters its final stretch, BBSG is urging the public to contribute through online donations or by volunteering for deliveries to help bring festive joy to thousands of families in need.
Now until 31 December 2024, members of the public can contribute through:
Volunteers with cars can participate in Daily Deliveries from now until 27 December 2024, excluding public holidays. There are three sessions daily:
For those without vehicles, on-foot deliveries will take place on 21 and 22 December 2024 in Lorong 5 Toa Payoh and Jalan Tenteram (Whampoa). This new initiative expands volunteering opportunities, allowing more people to contribute directly to the cause.
