ASEAN International Fashion Week Returns to Singapore: A Celebration of High Fashion and Innovation

The ASEAN International Fashion Week (AIFW) is set to make a grand return to Singapore from June 7th to 9th, 2024. This year’s edition, collaboratively presented by Epson and ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS) for the first time, will take place at the iconic ArtScience Museum.

A Fusion of Avant-Garde and Haute Couture

AIFW 2024 promises a spectacular showcase of avant-garde and haute couture designs that push the boundaries of fashion. The event will also highlight sustainable and circular fashion practices, celebrating creativity and craftsmanship on a global scale.

Over the three-day event, up to 40 international fashion designers from more than 15 countries will present their finest creations on the runway. Notably, Epson and AFDS will feature 11 talented ASEAN designers who are creating sustainable fashion using Epson’s digital textile printing technology. The designs, brought to life using Epson’s SureColor F6430, SureColor F9430H, and SureColor F10030, will be showcased in a special runway event at 8:30 PM on June 7th. Tickets for VIP and general admission are available for purchase.

Panel Discussion on Sustainability

A highlight of AIFW 2024 is an insightful panel discussion on the impact and importance of sustainability in the fashion and technology industries. This event will take place at 10:00 AM on June 8th and is open to the public. The panel, moderated by Neva Weber, International PR and Media Director of AIFW, will feature prominent industry experts including:

• Desmond Gay, Regional Manager of Epson Southeast Asia
• Hayden Ng, President Founder of AFDS AIFW, Singapore
• Rocco Leo Gaglioti, Chief Executive Officer of FNL Network, USA
• Aidarkhan Kaliyev, Founder of Aspara International Fashion Week, Kazakhstan
• Marianna Micelli, Founder of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week, Italy
• Eduardo Perez Gonzales Ocantos, Fashion Designer for Ocantos, Argentina

This discussion will be held in the lobby of the ArtScience Museum and admission is free.

Immersive Pop-Up Store Experience

Participants can also enjoy an immersive experience at the ArtScience Museum’s pop-up store, where eco-conscious designers can explore the technology behind Epson’s dye-sublimation textile printers, SureColor F6430 and F130. In collaboration with Cricut, the event will feature demonstrations of the Cricut EasyPress 3 and Cricut Maker 3, showcasing a range of cut, print, and press processes on items like hats, T-shirts, and canvas shoes.
