Run For Hope will return to Marina Barrage on 29 November 2026, marking 33 years of bringing communities together to support cancer research and those affected by the disease. Organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore in partnership with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), the long running charity event continues its mission of raising funds for life changing research while encouraging people of all ages and fitness levels to take part in the fight against cancer.
Registration for Run For Hope 2026 is now open, with participants able to choose between 5km and 10km race categories. To celebrate this year’s event, registered participants will also stand a chance to win the grand lucky draw prize of a pair of Singapore Airlines Business Class return tickets to Western Sydney worth S$11,400.
Since its launch in 1993, Run For Hope has attracted more than 20,000 participants and has become one of Singapore’s most recognised cancer awareness events. Last year’s edition raised more than S$190,000 for the NCC Research Fund, helping to support research into earlier diagnosis, improved treatments and better patient outcomes.
This year’s event introduces a meaningful new feature with the official race shirt designed by Cindy Neo, a cancer patient receiving treatment at NCCS, full time artist and founder of Room To Imagine. Her artwork transforms the event shirt into a symbol of resilience and hope, allowing thousands of participants to carry a powerful message of courage as they complete the course.
Over the past three decades, Run For Hope has grown from a modest community event into a platform that brings together patients, survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals and supporters united by a common goal of advancing cancer research and improving lives.
Cancer remains the leading cause of death in Singapore, accounting for 26.2 percent of all deaths between 2019 and 2023. While advances in early detection and treatment have improved survival rates, organisers emphasise that continued investment in research remains essential to achieving future medical breakthroughs.
Among those returning this year is cancer patient Lin Jia Hui, who participated in Run For Hope 2025 in memory of a close friend who lost her battle with cancer. Her story reflects the deeply personal reasons many participants choose to support the annual event.
Those who are unable to join the run can still contribute by donating to the NCC Research Fund. Supporters are also encouraged to create individual or team fundraising pages, invite family and friends to contribute, or help raise awareness about the event within their communities. Every donation supports research that could lead to earlier diagnoses, more effective treatments and improved patient care.
Registration fees remain unchanged for the third consecutive year. The 5km category is priced at S$40 under the normal rate, S$35 for loyal runners and S$30 under special rates for returning participants and group registrations of more than 30 people. The 10km category is priced at S$55 under the normal rate, S$50 for loyal runners and S$45 under the special rate. Returning participants will receive a discount code at a later date, while organisations interested in group registrations can contact the organisers for more information.
