Kung Fu Panda headlines Universal Studios Singapore’s Year of the Dragon Celebration

Sentosa Island, January 10, 2024 – Get ready for a thrilling Lunar New Year celebration as Universal Studios Singapore, nestled in the heart of Resorts World Sentosa, embraces the Year of the Dragon with an array of captivating festivities from 27 January to 25 February 2024.

The Dragon of Dreams

Embark on an epic journey into the world of Kung Fu Panda with an all-new live show at the Hollywood Lagoon Stage. In “Po’s Dojo: The Dragon of Dreams,” our beloved characters, Po and Master Tigress, showcase their Dragon Warrior-worthy skills as they join forces to find the Dragon of Dreams. Fans can also anticipate a thrilling meet and greet with Po and Master Tigress. Stay tuned for more excitement with the upcoming release of Kung Fu Panda 4 in cinemas on 7 March.

DreamWorks Lunar Light Up

Experience the magic of DreamWorks characters coming to life in a stunning lantern display at Soundstage 28. Inspired by films like Kung Fu Panda 4, How to Train Your Dragon, and Madagascar, visitors can capture unforgettable moments with lanterns featuring popular characters such as Po, Toothless, and the Penguins of Madagascar.

Dragon of Destiny Night Show

As night falls, join the Dragonborn in an auspicious celebration at the Dragon of Destiny show at the New York Public Library. Occurring once every 12 years, this event welcomes the legendary beast in a lively dragon dance. Fan-favorite characters, including Illumination’s Minions and DreamWorks Animation’s Alex, King Julien, and Gloria from Madagascar, add to the festive atmosphere.

Park-Wide Fun and Festivities

Throughout the park, guests can exchange auspicious greetings with characters donning dragon-inspired outfits for picture-perfect moments. Meet and greet sessions with beloved characters like Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots, and more await visitors. The Hollywood and New York zones are adorned with cherry blossom trees, red lanterns, and soaring red dragons, creating the perfect backdrop for extra-lucky selfies.

Delicious Eats and Exclusive Merchandise

Indulge in festive delights at select restaurants and carts while spreading good fortune with exclusive merchandise featuring Illumination’s Minions and DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda.

Tickets

The Lunar New Year event is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Singapore, with tickets retailing at S$98 for adults and S$78 for children. Each ticket comes with a S$5 shopping voucher and a Chinese New Year Combo Meal for adults or a Kid’s Combo Meal with a souvenir for children. Guests can also continue to enjoy the park’s adrenaline-infused rides, world-class attractions, and entertainment throughout the Lunar New Year celebration.
