Epson has just raised the bar in the world of garment customization with the launch of its brand-new SureColor F2230 Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer, known as the SC-F2230. This cutting-edge printer packs a punch with enhanced design, improved usability, and a focus on efficiency, promising to revolutionize the garment printing industry. The SC-F2230 builds upon the legacy of its predecessor, the SureColor F2130, and brings several game-changing features to the table.
One of the standout features of the SC-F2230 is its compact and user-friendly design. With a smaller footprint compared to its predecessor, the SC-F2130, it effortlessly fits into most working environments. Under the hood, the SC-F2230 boasts the latest PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead technology. This high-performance printhead has a wider width of 1.33 inches (compared to the previous 1-inch width) and an increased nozzle count of 3,200 (up from 2,800). These enhancements translate to lightning-fast print speeds, with the SC-F2230 completing a print in just 43 seconds on light garments and 142 seconds on dark garments. This represents an impressive speed boost of up to 135% and 125%, respectively.
Epson has ditched the conventional cartridge system in favor of a newly upgraded ink pack system. This shift not only reduces the weight and space required for ink storage but also significantly cuts down on plastic usage and wastage. The ink pack system boasts a larger ink capacity of 800ml, compared to the previous 600ml ink cartridges. This upgrade means fewer interruptions for ink pack replacements, ultimately leading to increased productivity.
The SC-F2230 is powered by reformulated Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK) UltraChrome DG2 inks. These inks excel at reducing yellow/black bleeding on light-colored garments with high water repellence. Moreover, the ink packs are conveniently accessible from the front, streamlining the operation and eliminating the hassle of ink pack installation and replacement.
Efficiency is the name of the game with the Auto Gap Adjustment function. This innovative feature automates printhead carriage movement to optimize the gap between the printhead and the garment. This ensures continuous, stable prints with minimal manual platen height adjustments, enabling users to maximize productivity and minimize business turnaround time.
On the software front, the SC-F2230 ships with the latest Garment Creator 2 software. This software not only processes images faster but also supports higher resolutions of up to 600dpi, ensuring that your designs come to life with stunning clarity.
