The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and the leading indoor cycling platform ROUVY are proud to announce the successful completion of their inaugural virtual event, the PTO Open, on 27 July. This groundbreaking initiative has provided both elite professionals and passionate amateur triathletes an exclusive sneak peek into the highly anticipated new pro bike course, a prelude to the forthcoming inaugural PTO Asian Open scheduled for 19 and 20 August.

With the countdown to the world-class spectacle of the PTO Asian Open underway, this virtual endeavor offers you a golden opportunity to acquaint yourself with the stunning Marina Bay Financial District course. Amateurs registered for the challenging 100km triathlon are afforded a unique privilege – a chance to ride alongside seasoned pros and gain valuable insights into the intricacies of the bike course they are set to conquer.

The Virtual PTO Asian Open showcases cutting-edge technology in the form of Augmented Reality (AR), which breathes life into the 16km loop. Beginning and culminating at the Bayfront Event Space, this enthralling route led athletes across the iconic Sheares Bridge, treating them to awe-inspiring panoramic views of the cityscape.

ROUVY, acclaimed as the Official Virtual Ride Partner of the 2023 PTO Tour, elevates the virtual cycling experience to new heights. Featuring an expansive collection of over 15,000 augmented routes filmed globally and enriched with AR enhancements, ROUVY empowers riders to explore the world’s iconic routes or train meticulously for upcoming events from the comfort of their own homes.

Adding to the grandeur of the PTO Asian Open weekend, the event will host not only the prestigious 100km triathlons for professionals and experienced amateurs, but also two captivating duathlon races: a standard 4.5km Run/32km Bike/4.5km Run, as well as an extended 9km Run/64km Bike/9km Run challenge.

Furthermore, the iconic return of The Music Run – a spirited 5km fun run accompanied by favorite tunes – promises a spirited celebration of multisport activity. Anticipating up to 6,000 participants, the PTO Asian Open is poised to be an exhilarating celebration set against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Marina Bay Financial District.
