Each player competing in this year’s tournament, taking place at Sentosa Golf Club between 2-5 March, as part of the LPGA, received a participation slider necklace. The pieces have been inspired by the specially created HSBC orchid, the Papilionanda Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, commissioned by NParks to mark HSBC’s contributions towards biodiversity and conservation in Singapore.

Shanya Amarasuriya, Creative Director of BP de Silva Group, led a team of designers to design the exclusive necklaces which were unveiled and worn by an array of golfing stars, all on show at ‘Asia’s Major’ this week, at a celebration event at the COMO Dempsey.

Attendees included world number 2 Nelly Korda, world number 7 Brooke Henderson, alongside Chinese star Shanshan Feng and Singapore’s homegrown talent Amanda Tan – an example of HSBC’s support of women’s golf at youth levels through to the professional ranks. Michelle Wie, the 2018 champion in Singapore, modelled the new winner’s necklace for guests in attendance.
