Shopee 11.11 Big Sale breaks record – here are the details

Shopee, a leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, today announced the success of their Shopee 11.11 Big Sale. With overwhelming support from millions of users, Shopee broke last year’s record at 7:46 AM (GMT +8).

Across the region, more than 11 million orders was recorded on 11 November, around 4.5 times that of 2017. Total visits reached over 42 million as shoppers snapped up deals across all categories. At its highest, over 58,000 items were sold in a single minute.

The year-on-year growth of our 11.11 performance proves that this will continue to be an integral part of the year-end shopping season for shoppers in the region. We would like to thank our loyal users for their support in making this year’s event our most successful one yet.” 

Shopee 11.11 Big Sale performance in Singapore

This year’s Shopee 11.11 Big Sale in Singapore featured an upsized package of non-stop promotions at up to 90% off; the return of the iconic in-app Shopee Shake; and exclusive deals from Shopee’s brand and strategic partners.

On 11 November, top participating brands and sellers enjoyed up to 794 times their daily average orders and an average of around 1400% increase in trafficBeauty & Personal Care, Mobile & Gadgets and Home & Living emerged as the top three categories. Top products on that day included:

  • Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Pore Refining Face Mask
  • Marshall Headphones
  • Jeju Island Wet Wipes

Shopee’s iconic in-app game, Shopee Shake, also continued to engage users throughout Shopee 11.11 Big Sale. Shopee Shake was played around 700,000 times in Singapore throughout the entire campaign.

To thank users for their continued support, Shopee will be holding a three-day 11.11 Thank You Sale happening from today, 12 November, until 14 November. Users will be treated to a final round of 11.11 deals and promotions.
