The Ramen Stall @ Short Street

Image via The Ramen Stall official website

Located at Short Street, just beside the famous Rocher Original Beancurd, The Ramen Stall is a good place to go for an affordable, decent supper.

They are open till 5am from Mon to Sat and till 1am on Sun. After a meal there, you can pop over next door for beancurd.

Restaurant interior

The Ramen Stall offers a wide selection of Japanese food on their menu. Rachel and I both had ramen on our first visit there. We had chanced upon the place after catching a theatre performance nearby and was hunting for a place to have a decent, late dinner.

It was near midnight and we didn’t have much options. We had a good meal there for just S$20++.  If you go during lunch, they have set menu for as cheap as S$6.90 nett!

I can’t comment on their other menu items as I did not try them, but the ramen was pretty alright.

Generally, I steer clear of sashimi, fish, seafood and raw food items at budget restaurants as these items will taste really vile if cheap or old ingredient are used.

Pork belly ramen
Cha Su ramen

We are likely to visit this place again for supper or if we have any late night craving for Japanese food. 🙂
