McDonald’s Singapore is celebrating the return of its seasonal Samurai burgers by launching its first ever Samurai themed game show activation. Titled Samurai IKE, this interactive event transforms the open area next to Bugis Junction into a lively Japanese variety show.

Running from 18 to 30 August, fans are invited to test their speed and coordination in three over the top challenges designed to bring people together and deepen their connection with the brand beyond the standard menu.

Participants can try their luck at “Samurai edition: Hole in the wall” where they must strike a pose to fit through a moving barrier before being swept away. Other games include “Fries and furious” which requires players to stack fries into a bag using giant chopsticks against a ticking clock, and “Kyoho grape drop” where players wear a soft serve inspired helmet and jump to pop grape balloons overhead.

Visitors have the chance to win complimentary goodies like the new Kyoho Grape Cone, Seaweed McShaker Fries and exclusive Samurai stickers.
For those seeking higher stakes, McDonald’s is hosting competitive battles over two weekends on 22 and 23 August as well as 29 and 30 August, between 11am and 1pm. Participants can compete as a Solo Samurai or team up with a friend to win attractive cash rewards.
The solo category rewards include the Solo First Prize (S$400), Solo Second Prize (S$300) and Solo Third Prize (S$200). Those competing in pairs can aim for the Pair First Prize (S$800), Pair Second Prize (S$600) or Pair Third Prize (S$400).

Accompanying this event is a massive menu update available islandwide, with the classic Samurai Beef Burger and Samurai Chicken Burger brought back on the menu.

They are joined by the brand new Tamago Samurai Beef Burger and Tamago Samurai Chicken Burger, which feature the signature teriyaki coated patties topped with a perfectly cooked golden egg.

Fans can also enjoy returning sides like the Seaweed McShaker Fries alongside fresh additions such as the crispy Katsu Chicken Tenders.

For dessert, McDonald’s is introducing the Kyoho Grape Cone and the Strawberry Daifuku Pie, an indulgent treat inspired by traditional Japanese mochi featuring chewy dough, red bean paste and sweet strawberry jam.
