CapCut opened its first ever CapCut World event in Singapore, marking a global milestone for the editing platform. The company announced on 6 September 2026 that it now has over 660 million users across more than 170 markets and 30 languages, spanning Southeast Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The Singapore edition is the first stop in a global series, with Los Angeles and London to follow later this year.

The event gathered more than 300 creators, industry leaders and CapCut team members for creator talks, editing tips and a closer look at the features shaping the platform
CapCut publishes over 400,000 new templates daily, and the platform now offers more than 85 AI tools, which have supported over 6 billion original content generations in 2026 alone. Around 7 million creators use its AI features every day. capcutcapcut
A recent addition, Skills, lets creators save and share the styles, workflows and techniques behind their work, not just the finished result. Filmmaker Vee Camallere, whose AI series Featherweight has passed 25 million views, saved her colour grading process as a Skill to keep the look consistent across episodes.
CapCut is stitching the creative process into one flow: AI Lab for brainstorming, Infinite Canvas for developing story, characters and shots, then Edit Pilot working alongside creators inside the multi-track editor. Invisible watermarks and C2PA Content Credentials are embedded throughout. On the model side, Dreamina Seedance powers video, Dola Seedream powers images, and Seed Audio handles sound.

We also had the chance to hear from Henri Kang, a Senior Marketing Specialist, Creative Designer and AI artist with over 10 years in branding, marketing communications and creative strategy. He began his career as a Graphic Artist at SEGA Tokyo, building 3D assets and animations for PlayStation and arcade titles. He shared that his current favourite CapCut feature is Seedance 2.5, and he’s looking forward to the new feature, Edit Pilot.
We asked how he keeps his creativity sharp when AI can generate ideas too.
“We have to keep our mind open to human stories, and emotional connection. And it’s actually an exciting time, because now that AI can do everything, we have to stop asking ‘is this possible?’ and start making the impossible.” Shared Henri.
CapCut World Singapore is the first event in the series, with upcoming editions planned for Los Angeles and London later this year.
According to Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut, the company’s focus remains on making creation more accessible while bringing more parts of the creative process together.
CapCut World will continue as the company expands its focus beyond video editing into images, design and AI-assisted creation, while retaining creator control over the final work.
