As discovery commerce continues to evolve, TikTok Shop is expanding its programmes to help businesses at every stage of growth. The initiatives are designed to equip sellers with practical skills, from mastering LIVE selling to building sustainable businesses through content driven commerce, creating stronger foundations for long term success in Singapore’s digital economy.

Alongside its investment in sellers, TikTok Shop is also strengthening support for creators through several specialised programmes that aim to develop talent and create more opportunities to earn through content and affiliate commerce.

The LIVE Host Academy will help aspiring professional LIVE hosts develop practical presentation and sales skills while connecting them with sellers looking for hosting talent. The Affiliate Accelerator will provide creators with training in LIVE selling and short form content while helping them build affiliate businesses through authentic product recommendations. Meanwhile, the Short Video Programme will support emerging creators by sharpening their product storytelling skills through learning resources, creator manager guidance and collaboration opportunities with TikTok Shop sellers.

These initiatives come as demand for LIVE commerce continues to grow, with LIVE viewership on TikTok Shop in Singapore increasing by 150 percent year on year. By expanding access to training and industry connections, TikTok Shop aims to create a stronger pipeline of skilled creators while giving businesses more opportunities to connect with consumers through engaging shopping experiences.

The platform also showcased how local brands are benefiting from discovery commerce. Singapore fashion label Young Hungry Free has leveraged TikTok Shop’s ecosystem of tools and resources to expand its reach through content led commerce while strengthening its LIVE selling capabilities. The brand continues to grow its online presence by engaging customers through interactive content and livestreams.

Heritage business Kim’s Duet, created by Kim Guan Guan, has also embraced the platform to introduce its traditional local coffee to a new generation of consumers. As a second-generation family business, the brand has used TikTok Shop to preserve its heritage while reaching wider audiences through modern content driven marketing.

With continued investments in training, partnerships and capability building, TikTok Shop aims to further strengthen Singapore’s discovery commerce ecosystem, creating more opportunities for sellers and creators to collaborate and achieve sustainable growth through content, community and commerce.
