The Singapore River Festival 2026 has officially opened, marking the festival’s 10th edition with a celebration of the people, places and stories that have shaped the Singapore River.
Presented by Singapore River One (SRO), the milestone edition runs from 11 to 20 September 2026 under the theme “The Quay Collective”. Visitors can explore three distinct zones across Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, each offering a different line-up of entertainment, creative experiences, lifestyle activities and wellness programmes.
The festival was officially launched by Guest of Honour Foo Cexiang, Minister of State for the Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Trade and Industry, alongside SRO’s leadership and partners.
The launch also recognised SRO and GoRental Global, the official energy partner of Singapore River Festival 2026, for achieving an ASEAN and ASIA Records joint record for the First and Longest Three Quay River Festival Powered by Portable Battery Energy Storage Systems Across Ten Consecutive Days. The record covers Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, with zero litres of diesel consumed throughout the festival period. This is the third consecutive edition supported by GoRental Global’s portable battery energy storage systems.
The initiative reflects SRO’s efforts to incorporate more sustainable solutions into its large-scale precinct activations while bringing visitors together across the three quays.
At the Entertainment Zone @ Boat Quay, visitors can experience The River Echo Chambers, an eight-minute projection mapped musical that brings the past, present and future of the Singapore River to life across shophouse facades in the back alleys of Boat Quay.
Live music will also feature as part of The River Emergence, with community sing alongs and performances by local artists Ann Siang Sounds, Omar Kenobi and Leandra Lane. The River Song Parade by SMU’s Samba Masala will add another musical element to the programme.
Over at the Expression Zone @ Clarke Quay, The River Rhapsody transforms Read Bridge into an interactive light and sound experience. Visitors’ movements influence the lights, colours and music around them, while a virtual DJ projected onto the surrounding trees creates a riverside dancefloor atmosphere.
The Clarke Quay programme also includes acrobatic arts performances, pop up dance performances and a curated lifestyle market with live DJ sets at Matcha Central. Acai Social will host a social party combining açaí, music and dance.
Visitors seeking a more relaxed experience can head to the Lifestyle & Wellness Zone @ Robertson Quay. The Flow of Serenity offers guided audio meditation accompanied by light projections across the River, providing a quieter way to experience the festival.
Other programmes at Robertson Quay include The Riverside Cinema, The River Illuminates, a relaxing display combining lights and sound, and the Riverview Social Market by Four Points by Sheraton Singapore. These experiences are designed to encourage visitors to spend more time by the waterfront while discovering the character of Robertson Quay.
The festival also offers opportunities to explore the heritage of the Singapore River through Whispers of the Twin Quays, a curated boat ride and guided heritage walk. The experience includes exclusive access to the conserved Jiak Kim Street godowns and offers visitors a different perspective on familiar parts of the precinct.
