The new services will connect Hanoi with Cebu, Ho Chi Minh City with Cebu and Clark, Ho Chi Minh City with Chiang Mai, and Da Nang with Osaka. To mark the expansion, Vietjet is offering Eco fares from USD0, excluding taxes and fees, alongside 20% off SkyBoss and Deluxe fares during a three-day promotion from 18 to 20 August 2026.

The airline’s expansion in the Philippines will begin on 10 November 2026 with new direct services between Hanoi and Cebu, Ho Chi Minh City and Cebu, and Ho Chi Minh City and Clark. Each route will operate three round trip flights per week.

The new services will complement Vietjet’s existing Ho Chi Minh City to Manila route, giving travellers more direct connections between Vietnam and the Philippines while supporting tourism, trade and other links between the two countries.

Vietjet will also resume its direct Ho Chi Minh City to Chiang Mai service from 25 October 2026. The route will operate four round trip flights per week, connecting Vietnam’s largest city with Chiang Mai and its temples, mountain scenery and cultural attractions in northern Thailand.

Another new route will connect Da Nang with Osaka Kansai International Airport from 20 December 2026. The service will operate four round trip flights per week, linking Da Nang with one of Japan’s major urban and commercial centres.

The new Da Nang to Osaka service will also provide more convenient access to central Vietnam and its UNESCO listed heritage attractions, including the ancient town of Hoi An and the former imperial capital of Hue. The route further expands Vietjet’s Japan network, which already includes services from Hanoi to Tokyo Narita, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hiroshima and Shizuoka, as well as Ho Chi Minh City services to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka.

Domestically, Vietjet is also resuming flights to Da Lat following the reopening of Lien Khuong International Airport. From 19 August 2026, the airline will reconnect Da Lat with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Vinh and Da Nang, making the Central Highlands destination more accessible to both local residents and visitors.

During the promotional period from 18 to 20 August, travellers can book hundreds of thousands of Eco fares from USD0, excluding taxes and fees, through Vietjet’s official sales channels. A 20% discount on SkyBoss and Deluxe fares is also available on eligible flights when customers use the promo code HIVJ20 through Vietjet’s website and mobile app.

The promotion covers selected direct routes between Vietnam and the Philippines, Thailand, Japan and South Korea, as well as the Phu Quoc to Hong Kong and Phu Quoc to Taipei routes. Selected domestic services to and from Da Lat are also included.

The promotional travel period runs from 7 September 2026 to 31 March 2027, subject to applicable terms, conditions and seat availability.

Passengers flying with Vietjet can also enjoy Vietnamese and international favourites on board, including pho, banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee, alongside the airline’s in-flight service and selected cultural and entertainment experiences.
