Photography enthusiasts across Singapore can take part in Sony Bird Race SG 2026, an islandwide bird photography competition organised by Sony Electronics Singapore and open to participants using cameras from any brand.

Taking place from 22 to 23 August 2026, the competition will see participants travel across Singapore to capture their best bird photographs based on three photography themes, which will be revealed on site before the competition begins.
Participants can compete in up to two categories, including Interchangeable Lens Camera for full frame and above, Interchangeable Lens Camera for APS C and below, Fixed Lens Camera for 1.0 type sensor or larger, Youth for participants aged 25 and below, and Shot on Sony.
The competition comes with prizes worth thousands of dollars. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Sony Alpha 7R VI camera paired with an FE 100 to 400mm F4.5 GM OSS lens. Participants can also stand a chance to win a Sony RX10 V through the Lucky Draw.
There will also be 15 Theme Prize winners, with three winners selected across each of the five categories, as well as five Retailer Choice Awards.
The competition will begin on 22 August at Perennial Business City Conference Hall at 1 Venture Avenue, Level 3, Singapore 608521. Registration starts at 7am, followed by a briefing at 7.40am and the official flag off at 8am.
Participants will have until 12pm on 23 August to submit their photographs. The prize presentation and Lucky Draw will take place at 4pm on the same day. All winners must be present at the prize presentation ceremony to redeem their prizes.
Registration costs S$10, inclusive of GST. Participants must complete payment within 24 hours of registering to secure their slots. Registration closes on 16 August, with limited places available.
