Since its launch in Singapore earlier in April, I have been incredibly curious to find out whether this device truly lives up to its promise of delivering flagship level performance at a more accessible price point. I have been using it as my daily driver to see if it is worth your hard earned money. Let me tell you right off the bat that the HONOR 600 Pro is a solid powerhouse for a reasonable price tag of S$1,099.
When I first unbox the phone, the design is catchy. It comes in Golden White, Black, and a very striking Orange.

I got my hands on the Golden White version and it looks premium with its metal frame and unibody finish. Yes, many people have pointed out that its flat sides and camera module look very similar to the latest iPhone 17 Pro, and I agree with that observation. However, it still feels incredibly comfortable in the hand.

Weighing in at roughly 200 grams, it is not overly heavy, yet it feels durable. You do not even need to baby this phone because it comes with SGS certification for drop resistance and an impressive IP69 rating for water and dust protection.

The display is another huge selling point. You get a beautiful 6.57 inch AMOLED screen that is exceptionally bright. In fact, it reaches a peak brightness of 8000 nits, meaning you would have no trouble reading text or framing photos under the harsh afternoon sun. The high refresh rate of 120Hz makes scrolling through social media buttery smooth. There is also a dedicated AI button on the side of the phone. I found this useful for opening the camera quickly with a double press.

As someone who loves taking photos for Instagram and TikTok, the camera system is where the HONOR 600 Pro shines. The main camera boasts a 200 megapixel sensor which captures stunning details and vivid colours. The 50 megapixel telephoto lens is equally impressive, offering optical zoom that stays remarkably sharp up to about 7x magnification before the digital zoom takes over to a maximum of 120x. Portrait shots look good with natural skin tones and background blur.
One of my favorite software additions is the AI Image to Video 2.0 feature.
This tool lets you select up to three photos and use simple text prompts to generate short cinematic video clips right on the device. It is a fantastic tool for content creators who want to make quick reels without spending hours editing on a computer. Otherwise, it is a really fun tool just to create videos out of old photos or other memorable moments.

Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. While this is technically last year’s top tier chip, it is more than capable of handling everyday tasks, heavy multitasking, and gaming.

The true star of the show is the gargantuan 7000mAh silicon carbon battery. I easily squeezed two full days of use out of a single charge, which is almost unheard of in modern smartphones. When you finally do run out of juice, the 80W wired charging gets you back to a full battery in just over an hour.

Ultimately, the HONOR 600 Pro is a fantastic choice if you want a reliable device with a gorgeous screen, reliable cameras, and battery life that outlasts almost everything else on the market.
