JEN Hong Kong by Shangri-La has unveiled a major refresh of its guestrooms and suites alongside the launch of the new JEN Residence and upgraded rooftop wellness facilities, marking a new chapter for the hotel in the heart of Sai Wan.
Designed as a timeless urban sanctuary, the refreshed property blends warm modernity with functional comfort, creating spaces that feel both stylish and welcoming for travellers seeking a more residential-style stay in Hong Kong. The redesign incorporates calming tones of warm grey, natural oak, and black timber, complemented by accents of blue and green to create a tranquil atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The newly upgraded guestrooms include the Cityscape, Harbourscape, Mountain Club, Harbour Club, and Suite Club categories, all designed with a focus on intuitive comfort and ease of living. Features such as multifunctional black timber desks, sliding partitions for added privacy, and window-side daybeds overlooking the city, mountains, or harbour are intended to provide guests with a relaxed and uncluttered environment. Rooms also include curated in-room coffee experiences with premium drip coffee bags.
Adding a distinctly local touch, the hotel’s renovated spaces showcase a monochrome photography series titled “Hidden Moments of Stillness” by local architect and artist Jeff Tung. The collection captures quieter moments across Hong Kong, from harbour scenes to views of Tian Tan Buddha, bringing an artistic and reflective quality to the interiors.
A major addition to the property is the newly launched JEN Residence, designed for extended stays with a stronger emphasis on residential comfort. Each unit features separate living and sleeping spaces, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, microwave, and auto-refresh water dispenser, along with in-room laundry facilities and a walk-in closet. Large bay windows bring in natural light, creating a calm and spacious atmosphere suited for long-term guests.
The Suite Club offerings have also been enhanced to provide a more refined urban retreat. Suites include dedicated living and sleeping zones, fully equipped kitchenettes, spacious walk-in wardrobes, and double-sink washing areas. One of the standout features is a private bathtub positioned with views overlooking Victoria Harbour. Guests staying in these suites will also enjoy access to the Club Lounge and its personalised privileges.
The hotel’s rooftop facilities on Level 29 have also been upgraded to support wellness-focused travel experiences. The rooftop gym now offers 24-hour access alongside an outdoor yoga and meditation deck.
Guests can also unwind at the rooftop swimming pool, which operates daily from 7am to 8pm and offers panoramic views of Hong Kong’s skyline and waterfront.
Meanwhile, the newly renovated Club Lounge on Level 28 has been redesigned as a shared social and work space featuring a dedicated meeting room, open pantry, and all-day snacks and beverages. Evening cocktail sessions from 5.30pm to 7.30pm are accompanied by sweeping 180-degree views of Victoria Harbour.
Located just a minute away from HKU MTR Station, the hotel places guests within easy reach of the cultural and lifestyle districts of Sheung Wan and Central. Surrounded by cafés, temples, and historic streets, JEN Hong Kong by Shangri-La continues to position itself as a modern and connected base for academics, families, and business travellers exploring the city.
