Golden Village Multiplex Pte Ltd has announced that GV Tiong Bahru will officially cease operations on 29 March 2026, marking the end of a 32-year chapter at Tiong Bahru Plaza. The closure follows the conclusion of the cinema’s lease agreement.
First opened in 1994, GV Tiong Bahru has been a long-standing fixture in the neighbourhood, offering generations of moviegoers a diverse lineup of films, from blockbuster premieres to special screenings and community-focused events. Golden Village expressed its deep gratitude to loyal patrons, partners and the wider Tiong Bahru community for their unwavering support over the decades.
With the closure, movie lovers can continue to enjoy the Golden Village cinematic experience at nearby locations including GV Funan, GV Cineleisure, and GV Grand at Great World.
