Golden Village Multiplex Pte Ltd has announced that GV Tiong Bahru will officially cease operations on 29 March 2026, marking the end of a 32-year chapter at Tiong Bahru Plaza. The closure follows the conclusion of the cinema’s lease agreement.
First opened in 1994, GV Tiong Bahru has been a long-standing fixture in the neighbourhood, offering generations of moviegoers a diverse lineup of films, from blockbuster premieres to special screenings and community-focused events. With the closure, movie lovers can continue to enjoy the Golden Village cinematic experience at nearby locations including GV Funan, GV Cineleisure, and GV Grand at Great World.
