Created for the basketball court and embraced by streetwear pioneers, the adidas Originals Superstar returns for Spring 2026 with a bold new campaign celebrating its timeless cultural influence. Titled “The Original Icon,” the latest chapter reaffirms the Superstar’s status as a global symbol of self-expression, authenticity, and style.
Leading the campaign is legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson, who reprises his role as narrator and central figure. In a surreal, cinematic storyline, Jackson embarks on a search for his “Superstars,” journeying through a mysterious Hotel Superstar, a place where time does not exist and cultural icons from across generations converge.
Along the way, Jackson encounters a diverse lineup of global stars who each embody the spirit of the Superstar silhouette. The campaign features BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, model and entrepreneur Kendall Jenner, football prodigy Lamine Yamal, rapper Baby Keem, NBA champion James Harden, skateboarding star Tyshawn Jones, and rising British singer Olivia Dean.
Set within the dreamlike corridors of Hotel Superstar, the narrative unfolds as Jackson moves through endless hallways and rooms, each space revealing a different icon’s world, a metaphor for how the Superstar transcends time while continually shaping culture.
The campaign is directed by photographer and filmmaker Thibaut Grevet, whose cinematic vision reinforces the shoe’s enduring influence across music, fashion, sport, and art.
While staying true to its DNA, the Spring 2026 collection introduces subtle yet impactful updates to the Superstar’s apparel lineup. The iconic black-and-white palette is refreshed with striking red accents, delivering a sharper, more contemporary aesthetic.
In the men’s collection, looser-fitting tracksuits with bold red, black, and white color blocking take center stage, alongside jacquard jerseys, neutral-toned tees, and Tyshawn denim shorts, highlighting adidas Originals’ growing focus on denim.
The women’s range reimagines the track jacket silhouette, with the Superstar Tracktop emerging as a key piece. As seen on Kendall Jenner, the Equipment Blocking Red Jacket adds a strong visual statement. The tracktop is also offered in faux leather and crochet variations, blurring the boundaries between athletic heritage and street-ready fashion.
Adding a local twist, adidas Originals is offering a Singapore-exclusive UV printing experience. From 16 March to 6 May 2026, adiClub members who purchase any pair of Superstars can enjoy complimentary UV customisation at the Brand Centre Orchard store. The limited-edition designs are part of the “Made For You” service and are unique to Singapore.
The Spring/Summer 2026 Superstar collection will be available from 16 March via adidas.com.sg and selected stores islandwide.
