The Walt Disney Company and Formula 1 Rev Up “Fuel the Magic” for 2026 Race Season

Ahead of the 2026 race calendar, The Walt Disney Company and Formula 1 have announced the continuation of their multi-year “Fuel the Magic” collaboration, promising new ways for fans to engage with Disney’s Mickey & Friends across content, merchandise and immersive race weekend experiences.

Building on the buzz from the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which saw Mickey Mouse take over the Fountains of Bellagio, the 2026 campaign will kick off with a racing-inspired content launch at the Australian Grand Prix before shifting into high gear at the Chinese Grand Prix. More activations are planned throughout the season.

The initiative blends Disney storytelling with the high-octane energy of Formula 1, aiming to deliver city-inspired experiences, exclusive product drops and digital-first entertainment that capture the personality of each Grand Prix host city.

Original WEBTOON Series Launches at Australian Grand Prix

In partnership with WEBTOON Entertainment, Disney is debuting an original vertical comics series titled Mickey X Formula 1 Racing to the Top! The series will launch on 6 March during the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and run exclusively on WEBTOON’s global platforms throughout the 2026 season.

New episodes will drop in sync with each race weekend, introducing fresh characters and storylines that merge the creativity of Mickey & Friends with the drama and teamwork of elite motorsport.

Inspired by the thrills of professional racing, the series follows Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they rally together to support a racing team in crisis, highlighting themes of friendship, resilience and collaboration under pressure.

“Fuel the Magic” Retail Pop-Ups Begin at Chinese Grand Prix

Starting 13–15 March at the Chinese Grand Prix, select races will feature “Fuel the Magic” fanzone retail pop-ups showcasing exclusive co-branded merchandise inspired by each host city.

Race-specific designs and a core Disney x Formula 1 collection will be available at the F1 Hub, Grand Prix Plaza and online via F1.com. Select race weekends will also feature live Disney entertainment, with Mickey & Friends appearing in Formula 1-inspired looks to enhance the fan experience.

Gentle Monster Unveils 2026 Circuit Collection

Fashion label Gentle Monster will introduce the 2026 Circuit Collection, a global eyewear collaboration with Disney and Formula 1. The collection reimagines the structural design language of Formula 1 cars through bold, fashion-forward silhouettes.

Featuring eight lightweight and durable styles, the lineup includes three exclusive designs inspired by Mickey & Friends and Formula 1. The launch will be supported by pop-up activations in Seoul and Shanghai, where a monumental Mickey Mouse sculpture will be displayed alongside a Formula 1 car, bringing the “Fuel the Magic” theme to life.

Expanded Fashion and Collectibles Line-Up

Following the debut Disney x Formula 1 collection in Las Vegas last year, Disney Store will release additional drops for 2026. The first is an exclusive Mickey Mouse plush dressed in a Formula 1 uniform, launching in Australia in time for the Australian Grand Prix, with a global rollout to follow.

New collaborations with Gentle Monster and Uniqlo are also planned, alongside an expanded core collection spanning apparel, accessories, plush and collectibles, all inspired by the intersection of racing culture and Disney’s iconic characters.

A Fan-First Global Campaign

The continued “Fuel the Magic” collaboration reflects a shared ambition between Disney and Formula 1 to unite sport, entertainment and fashion in a way that resonates with global audiences. By combining original digital content, immersive race weekend activations and cross-industry fashion partnerships, the campaign aims to connect fans worldwide to the spectacle and cultural energy of Grand Prix racing.
