Exploria to Open at Mandai Wildlife Reserve in March 2026 as One of Southeast Asia’s Largest Indoor Nature Multimedia Attractions

A new indoor multimedia attraction is set to debut at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve this March, promising visitors an immersive journey into some of the planet’s most extraordinary and hidden natural realms.

Opening on 3 March 2026, Exploria spans 10,000 square metres and is poised to become one of Southeast Asia’s largest indoor, nature-themed multimedia attractions. Designed to bring rarely accessible environments to life, Exploria will transport visitors from prehistoric eras and extreme habitats to microscopic ecosystems and the depths of the ocean through immersive architecture and responsive media.

A Multi-Sensory Journey Through Earth’s Ecosystems

Catering to visitors of all ages, with a particular focus on teenagers and young adults, Exploria combines real-world footage with science-led storytelling to showcase how life adapts and survives across diverse ecosystems. Guests can walk among towering dinosaurs, experience the intensity of a monsoon storm, and peer into magnified microbial worlds.

Interactive elements throughout the attraction allow visitors to explore at their own pace while learning how ecosystems function, how species evolve, and how human actions influence the balance of life on Earth.

The journey begins at Our Interconnected World, Exploria’s central hub. At its heart stands the Biopool, anchored by a four-metre LED globe that pulses like a living heartbeat to symbolise the connection between humans and nature. As visitors interact with installations, pulses of light travel across the globe in real time, a visual reminder that individual actions collectively create meaningful change.

The globe also comes alive during The Planet Awakens, Exploria’s signature light-and-sound show, which transforms the space with synchronised projections and dynamic rhythms inspired by the five immersive worlds within.

Five Immersive Worlds to Explore

Beyond the central hub, visitors venture into five themed zones:

Realm of the Giants
Guests step into prehistoric landscapes where dinosaurs and colossal sea creatures once ruled. The centrepiece, The Giants Show, is an eight-minute 360-degree standing theatre experience that sweeps visitors through 500 million years of life on Earth, from the rise of ancient giants to their dramatic extinction.

Micro Worlds
This zone magnifies the unseen, revealing plankton, fungi, insect colonies and bacteria through interactive glass orbs and projection domes. It highlights how microscopic organisms quietly sustain life on the planet.

Bitdeer AI Extreme Frontiers
Through virtual expeditions and simulator rooms, visitors are transported to some of the world’s harshest environments. Encounters include polar bears navigating melting Arctic ice, Namaqua chameleons adapting to desert heat, and demoiselle cranes migrating at high altitudes.

Infinite Wonderland
Rainforests and coral reefs come alive in this richly layered environment, showcasing biodiversity through multi-sensory details and hidden wildlife emerging from lush foliage and vibrant reefscapes.

World of Darkness
Exploring caves and the deep ocean, this zone uncovers species adapted to life without light, including bioluminescent vampire squids, eyeless yeti crabs and blind cave fish.

Throughout the experience, visitors may encounter Disruptive Moments: narrative interludes focused on conservation messages that invite guests to pledge their commitment to protecting nature and wildlife.

Personalised and Interactive Experience

Exploria enhances engagement through a recyclable Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) wristband system. Visitors can create digital avatars, activate installations, earn species badges and track their achievements on a live scoreboard at the exit tunnel. Profiles remain active for a year, encouraging repeat visits.

Hidden Gems, subtle surprises embedded throughout the attraction, can be unlocked by scanning wristbands at specific spots. Meanwhile, Memory Hooks photo stations allow guests to capture unique moments from different perspectives.

Ticketing and Opening Promotions

Exploria will operate from 11am to 8pm on weekdays, and until 9pm on weekends and public holidays. Standard admission is priced at S for adults and S for children and students. Local residents with a WildPass digital membership enjoy discounted rates, while seniors receive special pricing.

To celebrate the launch, limited-time bundles valid until 31 May will pair admission with an Exploria-themed collectible blind box created in collaboration with Singapore-based toy designer Mighty Jaxx. Visitors can also sign up for the Friends of Mandai Ultimate membership for unlimited access to wildlife parks and attractions at Mandai, including Curiosity Cove and Exploria.

Beyond the new attraction, guests can continue to explore the broader offerings at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, including nature-themed experiences, accommodation options, public spaces, and diverse retail and dining concepts.
