As the Year of the Horse gallops in, Cat Bite Club is raising a glass to both Chinese New Year and International Margarita Day with a spirited week-long celebration dubbed the Year of the Margarita.
From 16 to 21 February, the agave-focused bar teams up with tequila brand Código 1530 to present two limited-time cocktails that spotlight its signature fusion of Mexican and Asian influences.
Leading the festive lineup is the Rice Rice Daisy, a bold concoction that marries Mexican and Asian spirits in one glass. Crafted with Código 1530 Blanco, Imo Shochu, Strong Aroma Baijiu, Agricole Rum, miso, coconut, coriander, and citrus, the cocktail reflects Cat Bite Club’s boundary-pushing approach to flavour.
Also on offer is the Rosa Margarita, made with Código 1530 Rosa Blanco, agave, and citrus. This vibrant twist on the classic Tommy’s Margarita stands out with its delicate rosy hue, subtle red wine notes, and floral aroma—thanks to the Rosa tequila being rested in uncharred Cabernet wine barrels. Both special cocktails are priced at S$23++ each.
The festive creations complement Cat Bite Club’s newly launched Agave & Rice cocktail menu, which debuted last month. Guests can also savour the bar’s signature Cat Bite Margarita, a mainstay since its opening. The house favourite features Código 1530 Blanco, Los Siete Misterios Espadín Mezcal, Cointreau, citrus blend, agave nectar, and sherry, delivering a layered, smoky riff on the beloved classic.
