Luckin Coffee has officially opened its 30,000th store in Shenzhen, marking a major milestone in the brand’s rapid growth and unveiling its first-ever Origin Flagship concept. Centered on the theme “Global Origins”, the new flagship signals Luckin’s strategic shift from scale expansion to deeper focus on quality, global supply chain integration and sustainable development.
The milestone underscores Luckin’s vast retail footprint, which now spans more than 300 cities across China, alongside a growing international presence in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia and the United States.
Since its founding, Luckin has played a key role in popularising coffee consumption in China while elevating the profile of homegrown coffee brands. Beyond domestic growth, the company has been strengthening its global supply chain, positioning itself as a dynamic force in reshaping global coffee sourcing and culture.
The opening ceremony on 8 February 2026 was attended by diplomatic representatives from key coffee-producing partner countries, including Indonesia, Brazil and Colombia, alongside Luckin’s leadership team led by Chairman Li Hui and Co-Founder & CEO Guo Jinyi.
In recent years, Luckin has expanded its “Global Origins” strategy, deepening partnerships in major coffee-producing regions such as Brazil, Ethiopia and Yunnan, China. Through its “From Origin to You” campaign, the brand has developed exclusive raw material bases, including:
This vertically integrated approach connects premium global ingredients directly to China’s massive consumer market, creating a value chain where demand fuels quality and supply chain enhancement.
The new Origin Flagship in Shenzhen spans 420 square metres across two floors and is designed to immerse customers in Luckin’s global sourcing story and quality commitment.
A key highlight is the Luckin Origin Lab, which features an exclusive menu of crafted specialty coffee and pour-over selections. The flagship also debuts a premium single-origin bean menu, including SOE Americanos and lattes made with beans sourced from Yunnan, Ethiopia and Mandheling.
For the first time, Luckin has introduced high-end semi-automatic coffee machines in-store, supported by a team of skilled baristas trained to precisely extract and highlight the distinctive flavour profiles of premium beans.
The store also houses Luckin’s inaugural Master Space, designed for professional coffee salons and themed events to foster deeper engagement with customers. Since its soft opening in late January, the flagship has quickly become a hotspot for local coffee enthusiasts.
On opening day, Luckin showcased champion beans from the 2025 Yunnan Cup of Excellence (CoE) Pilot Competition, reinforcing its long-term support for Yunnan’s coffee industry and its commitment to quality sourcing.
Sustainability is central to the flagship’s design. The store was constructed in compliance with LEED Platinum standards and meets the “Zero Carbon Space” evaluation criteria set by the China Association of Building Energy Efficiency.
Following the LEED Platinum certification of its 20,000th store in Beijing’s Zhongguancun, the Shenzhen flagship establishes another benchmark for environmentally conscious retail in the coffee sector.
Luckin’s retail network now covers 94% of China’s provincial-level administrative regions, from Mohe in the north to Sanya in the south, and from Fuyuan in the east to Kashgar in the west. Internationally, the company reported 118 overseas stores as of the third quarter of 2025, reflecting steady global expansion.
