UOL Malls Bring Sesame Street Fun to Lunar New Year Shopping at United Square and Velocity@Novena Square

Red lanterns, lively drums and familiar furry faces set the scene for Lunar New Year at UOL Malls this year. From now until 1 March 2026, United Square and Velocity@Novena Square transform into a festive street where Sesame Street characters meet traditional celebrations, creating a lively and family friendly atmosphere for shoppers preparing for the season.

Look forward to Dragon, Lion and Drum performances, alongside festive retail highlights such as TANGS’ Lunar New Year fair and a Lady M pop up. These experiences bring together the sights, sounds and flavours of the season, turning both malls into activity hubs where families can soak in the celebratory mood while shopping for gifts and seasonal treats.

U-POPP Members can also enjoy exclusive Sesame Street Lunar New Year rewards with qualifying spends across both malls.

Available in limited quantities until 1 March 2026, the curated collection includes specially designed Sesame Street red packets, an Elmo or Cookie Monster plushie tote bag, and a foldable grocery trolley that blends playful design with everyday practicality. These redemptions add an extra incentive for shoppers to plan their festive visits early.

At United Square, shoppers can visit Lady M’s Lunar New Year pop up from 6 to 28 February, located near McDonald’s on B1. Known for its refined patisserie creations, Lady M introduces its 2026 Year of the Horse Gift Set, which features 32 mini crepe biscuits in four flavours presented in an elegant box, complete with a collectible vegan leather horse charm designed for gifting during the festive season.

Over at Velocity@Novena Square, TANGS returns for its second year with a Lunar New Year fair from 2 to 15 February at the Main Atrium on Level 1. The fair brings together a selection of premium gifting treats and artisanal finds, including nostalgic White Rabbit candies in coffee, chocolate, mint and osmanthus flavours in limited edition Year of the Horse packaging. Shoppers can also find alcohol free sparkling teas from Saicho and Chalu, as well as halal certified bakes from Pinch Bakehouse presented in gift ready tins.

Festive performances add to the celebratory mood on 24 February, with Dragon, Lion and Drum performances taking place at 1.38pm at United Square’s Main Atrium on B1, and at 5.38pm at Velocity@Novena Square’s Main Atrium on Level 1.

Both malls are also rolling out Lunar New Year deals across dining, retail and gifting categories.

United Square’s promotions centre on family dining and children’s retailers with reunion bundles, festive menus and gift options, while Velocity@Novena Square focuses on food, lifestyle and gifting tenants offering limited time seasonal promotions.

In the spirit of sharing good fortune, UOL Malls is also running the Packet of Good Fortune initiative from 23 January to 1 March 2026 in support of seniors under AWWA’s care.

With a $30 donation made at the Customer Service Counters, the malls will arrange for a Festive Care Pack on the shopper’s behalf. Each pack contains practical essentials such as antibacterial wet wipes, berry essence and laundry capsules, offering a simple way for shoppers to give back during the festive season.
