Viral Korean Tofu Gelato Brand TOFU G Opens New Takashimaya Outlet

Singapore’s first tofu based gelato brand TOFU G has opened a new outlet at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, making its distinctive Korean inspired desserts even more accessible along Orchard Road. First opened on 2 January 2026, the new location at Ngee Ann City follows the strong reception of the brand’s earlier pop-up at Mandarin Gallery, which drew long queues and widespread social media attention.

We have tried TOFU G several times at Mandarin Gallery and were excited to see the brand move even closer to Orchard MRT station.

This time, we sampled four flavours between my son Asher and I, including Pistachio, High Protein Tofu, Signature Tofu and Chocolate. The gelato remained consistently light, creamy and satisfying, without the heaviness usually associated with ice cream.

It is the kind of dessert you can enjoy without feeling weighed down, even after a full meal.

TOFU G is rooted in traditional Korean tofu making techniques, reimagined in the form of gelato. Each scoop is crafted to highlight clean flavours and a smooth texture, offering a refreshing alternative for those seeking a more mindful dessert.

The brand focuses on natural ingredients such as non GMO soybeans, roasted black sesame and Korean sweet potato, with many flavours being vegan friendly and dairy free.

The Takashimaya outlet continues TOFU G’s commitment to freshness, with gelato churned live on site throughout the day. This ensures optimal texture and flavour while giving customers a chance to watch the process behind each scoop.

The space itself is designed as a calm Korean atelier inspired environment, blending natural wood, soft fabrics and stone details that reference tofu making heritage. Despite being located in one of Orchard Road’s busiest malls, the shop offers a surprisingly serene break from the surrounding crowds.

The menu features the brand’s signature tofu based gelato alongside a small curated range of flavours. Highlights include the Original Tofu Gelato, which delivers a clean and delicate soybean flavour, and the High Protein Tofu Gelato, enhanced with additional soy protein for a more nourishing treat.

Other options include Chocolate, Black Sesame, Chodang Sweet Corn, Korean Sweet Potato and Pistachio, each priced at $8 per scoop.

TOFU G first made its mark in Singapore at Mandarin Gallery before expanding to Malaysia with an outlet at The Exchange TRX Mall, where it also attracted strong crowds. The Takashimaya opening marks another step in the brand’s regional growth.

The new TOFU G outlet is located at 391 Orchard Road B1 29 Ngee Ann City Singapore 238873 and operates daily from 11:00AM to 10:00PM.
