The fourth edition of ART SG, presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS, officially opens today with a VIP Preview and Vernissage at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. Running from 23 to 25 January 2026, the fair brings together more than 100 galleries from over 30 countries and territories, reaffirming Singapore’s position as a leading hub for contemporary art in Southeast Asia.
This year’s edition introduces expanded programming, new curatorial initiatives and strategic partnerships, including ART SG’s inaugural co-presentation with S.E.A. Focus, a homegrown platform dedicated to Southeast Asian contemporary art. From emerging voices to established international figures, ART SG 2026 offers a wide-ranging snapshot of today’s global art landscape, viewed through a strong regional lens.
The fair’s main GALLERIES sector features a strong mix of returning international blue-chip galleries and leading regional names. Highlights include the return of White Cube, showcasing works by artists such as Ibrahim Mahama, Michael Armitage, Cai Guo-Qiang and Mona Hatoum, and Thaddaeus Ropac, presenting works by Tony Cragg, Antony Gormley, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg.
Other notable presentations come from Galerie Gmurzynska, neugerriemschneider, Ota Fine Arts, Galerie Gisela Capitain, Ames Yavuz, Sullivan & Strumpf, Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery, Richard Koh Fine Art, Gajah Gallery, and a joint presentation by Antenna Space and Commonwealth & Council, underscoring the fair’s breadth across geographies and practices.
The FOCUS sector centres on solo or duo artist presentations and curated thematic showcases, while FUTURES continues ART SG’s commitment to supporting young galleries established within the last decade. New exhibitors this year include Art Plus Gallery, Föenander Galleries, Galeri Sasha, Patel Brown, and WAMONO ART.
Launching alongside FUTURES is the ART SG FUTURES Prize, presented by ART SG and UBS, awarding USD 10,000 to an outstanding emerging artist, reinforcing long-term support for the next generation of contemporary artists.
New for 2026, SOUTH ASIA INSIGHTS debuts as a dedicated pavilion spotlighting contemporary art from South Asia, supported by the TVS Initiative for Indian and South Asian Contemporary Art. Featuring works by artists such as Jitish Kallat, Trishla Jain, Ayesha Singh, Russna Kaur, and Surendran Nair, the pavilion highlights the diversity and vitality of South Asian contemporary practice. The initiative is anchored by an artist talk with Kallat, one of India’s most influential contemporary artists.
Meanwhile, PLATFORM presents six large-scale, site-specific installations and performances across the fair, including works by Lee Bae, Bingyi, Citra Sasmita, Anne Samat, and Raqib Shaw, transforming the fairgrounds into an immersive visual and spatial experience.
For the first time, ART SG introduces a dedicated PERFORMANCE ART sector, underscoring its commitment to interdisciplinary and time-based practices. Highlights include live, site-responsive performances by Brian Fuata and participatory works by Singaporean artist John Clang.
Beyond the exhibition halls, ART SG’s public programming continues to expand. ART SG FILM, presented in collaboration with ArtScience Museum, runs from 22 January to 1 February 2026, featuring a curated selection of moving image works under the theme Would You Tell Me a Story Until I Fall Asleep?. The programme invites audiences into an intimate, contemplative engagement with the image.
ART SG PERSPECTIVES convenes artists, curators and cultural leaders for a series of talks and panels, with highlights including keynote conversations with Jitish Kallat, discussions on performance art within art fairs, and dialogues on museum-building in a global context.
Off-site, ART SG co-presents Wan Hai Hotel: Singapore Strait with Rockbund Art Museum, transforming The Warehouse Hotel into an immersive exhibition space from 20 to 31 January 2026. Part of Singapore Art Week, the project explores themes of maritime identity, movement and survival through installations and performances by regional and international artists. Admission is free to the public.
Institutional support continues through the SAM ART SG Fund, which returns for a second year with an expanded acquisition budget of SGD 250,000 to acquire works for the Singapore Art Museum’s permanent collection, strengthening its international contemporary holdings from a Southeast Asian perspective.
ART SG 2026 is complemented by a wide range of partner activations, including UBS Art Collection’s presentation of Melati Suryodarmo’s performance I Love You, sustainability-focused workshops, and collaborations spanning fashion, hospitality, fine jewellery and spirits. Highlights include presentations by Belmond, Ruinart, AXA XL, Martell, The Glendronach, and Jahan Genève, alongside art-inspired culinary and cultural experiences across Marina Bay Sands.
