Chick-fil-A Awards First True Inspiration Grant in Singapore to Support Hidden Youth

Chick-fil-A Inc. has marked a major milestone in its global community outreach efforts with the presentation of its first-ever Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award grant in Singapore, awarding SGD 170,000 to local social service agency Fei Yue Community Services. The grant was facilitated through the National Council of Social Services (NCSS).

Fei Yue Community Services granted SGD 170,000 to expand support for socially withdrawn youth

Established in 2015 to honour the legacy of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, the True Inspiration Awards programme recognises non-profit organisations that make meaningful contributions to caring for communities, people and the planet. To date, Chick-fil-A has awarded more than 400 grants totalling nearly USD 40 million worldwide. The inaugural Singapore grant extends this legacy locally, underscoring the brand’s long-term commitment to supporting organisations that drive positive social impact within the community.

Supporting Socially Withdrawn Youth

The grant will go towards Fei Yue’s Hidden Youth Outreach Services (HYOS), a programme dedicated to supporting socially withdrawn young people, often referred to as “hidden youth.” HYOS focuses on reaching these youths and helping them reintegrate into society by reconnecting them with education, vocational training and employment pathways.

Building on Fei Yue’s experience in supporting hidden youth in Singapore over the past three years, the funding will strengthen upstream and early-intervention efforts, aiming to reach young people before social withdrawal becomes entrenched. The enhanced services are designed to complement existing support networks while lowering barriers to help-seeking.

Through a combination of online and in-person engagement, HYOS will be better positioned to provide timely guidance, care and intervention, helping more young people access the support they need to rebuild connections and move forward with confidence.
