Highlights from the Launch of Singapore River Festival 2024: Sustainability, Pets, and Heritage Games

The Singapore River Festival 2024 officially kicked off last Friday, with a vibrant launch event attended by the Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development, Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The festival, organized by Singapore River One, emphasizes sustainability through partnerships with organizations like GoRental and BlueSG. The festival’s light shows on the Cavenagh and Alkaff Bridges, along with lively roving music performances along the river cruise and promenade at Boat Quay, are powered entirely by clean energy from GoRental SG, resulting in a remarkable reduction of 5.3 tonnes of carbon emissions.

Additionally, Singapore River One has collaborated with BlueSG, featuring its 100% electric fleet to provide eco-friendly transportation options for attendees. Festival-goers are encouraged to utilize BlueSG vehicles by applying a special promo code for exclusive discounts.
