Vietjet Launches Direct Service from Ho Chi Minh City to Vientiane; US$0 fare from 1 – 8 March

Vietjet Air has inaugurated its inaugural flights linking Vietnam’s bustling economic center, Ho Chi Minh City, to the charming capital of Laos, Vientiane. This pioneering non-stop route is set to revolutionize travel between the two cities, promising enhanced convenience and affordability for passengers while fostering opportunities for tourism, trade, and economic growth.

The commencement ceremony, held at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Wattay International Airport, saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries including representatives from the Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Civil Aviation of Laos (DCAL), Airports of Laos (AOL), Wattay International Airport, and Vietjet. Together, they celebrated the launch of Vietjet’s innovative service and warmly welcomed the inaugural passengers aboard the debut flights.

Operating four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the new service offers travelers the convenience of direct flights, reducing travel time to less than two hours between Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane. Departing from Ho Chi Minh City at 16:00, the flights touch down in Vientiane at 17:45, with return flights departing Vientiane at 18:45 and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 20:45 (local time).

To mark the occasion, Vietjet is rolling out a special promotion from March 1 to 8, 2024, offering thousands of promotional airfares starting as low as US$0 (excluding tax and fees) for the Ho Chi Minh City – Vientiane route, as well as other destinations across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Asia, and beyond.
