Registration for Run For Hope 2023 is now open: 30 Years of Running for Cancer Awareness and Research

Run For Hope gets ready to celebrate a remarkable 30 years of making strides in the fight against cancer. Scheduled for the 17th of December 2023 at Event Square @ Marina Bay, Run For Hope 2023 signifies a milestone in its mission to bring the community together in support of cancer research and to pay tribute to those affected by this pervasive disease.

This year’s event is set to be graced by a distinguished Guest-of-Honor, Mr. Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Social and Family Development and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.

30 Years of Impact: Singapore’s Longest-Running Cancer Event

Since 1993, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has been organizing Run For Hope annually, and in partnership with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) since 2008, it has become the largest running event supporting cancer research in Singapore. The numbers don’t lie; the 2021 Singapore Cancer Registry report reveals that an average of 16,800 individuals received a cancer diagnosis each year between 2017 and 2021. Despite significant strides in cancer research, there is still much work to be done to enhance cancer care. Run For Hope remains a platform to raise awareness and generate support for vital cancer research conducted by dedicated scientists at the NCCS.

This event shines as a beacon of hope, offering comfort and motivation to individuals impacted by this disease. In 2022, the funds raised by Run For Hope participants reached a cumulative total of over SGD$1.8 million for cancer research, with an even higher target for this year.

The 2023 edition of Run For Hope offers race categories with distances of 3km and 10km, following a scenic route that overlooks Singapore’s iconic skyline.
