Dubai is well known for its ultramodern delights but you shouldn’t miss visiting one of the oldest parts of the city, Bur Dubai, which dates back to the 1900s. Here, you can find the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and take a stroll along its charming car-free, narrow streets and admire the houses topped with wind towers, or the barajeel.

The world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, stands at a staggering height of 828 metres, and is the anchor of this futuristic district.
