[Review] DINOSAURS OF ANTARCTICA at Science Centre Singapore Omni-Theatre

Are your kids big fans of dinosaurs?

If they are, you can bring them to catch the DINOSAURS OF ANTARCTICA show at the Omni-Theatre at the Science Centre Singapore.

Tickets are available online and can be purchased using your Singaporediscovers vouchers. The digital movie is approximately 40 minutes long and is suitable for kids from 7 years up.

Trailer

Synopsis

From the Permian through the Jurassic, journey to the south polar landscapes of Antarctica hundreds of millions of years ago. Roam the primitive forests and thick swamps with bizarre dinosaurs and colossal amphibians. Enter a surreal world of bug-eyed giants and egg-laying mammals—where survival means enduring the sunless, six-month polar winter surrounded by meat-eaters with night vision.

Join intrepid Antarctic scientists on a quest to understand the ice continent’s profound transformation—and to predict the future as humans drive dramatic change. Welcome to the lost prehistoric world of Gondwana. Welcome to Antarctica.

I like how the dinosaurs portrayed in the movie are updated with feathers and coloured skin, following the latest scientific discoveries for accuracy. The life-like movements are engaging, coupled with an engaging narrative to pique your curiosity about Antarctica.

The Omni-Theatre at Science Centre Singapore

Watching it in the Onmi-Theatre gives you a sense of awe at how big the world and universe are; how we are just a small being in the greater scheme of things, but yet as important in our own ways.

Have your photo taken with a Dinosaur mascot after the show at the Science Centre

The show tickets comes with a half-day pass at the Science Centre and you can use it to visit new and old attractions which will be great fun for kids while learning scientific facts at the same time.

Two new stations from our last visit include the Energy Stop section and an exhibition on the second floor highlighting Engineering Science:

Have fun!
