Fresh Batch of Razer Iskur Gaming Chair Landing in Singapore on 25 Jan, 12PM – Mark your Calendar

Last year in October, Razer introduced their Razer Iskur Gaming Chair with Built-in Lumbar Support in selected markets globally, including Singapore. Retailing at S$749.90, the first batch was snapped up rapidly and some Razer fans who were late to the game were unable to get their hands on it.

Good news!

Fresh Batch of Razer Iskurs Landing in Singapore on 25 Jan for the New Year

A new batch is landing in Singapore next Monday on 25 January, 12 noon. If you are looking to grab one for your home, be sure to register to be notified on their online e-store and check back again next week.

What’s the hype about the Razer Iskurs?

As with all Razer products, though they are designed and built with gamers in mind, the snazzy design and ergonomic features make them suitable for general users as well. Remember the Razer Kraken Kitty? We love it and it is still getting us a lot of love from everyone whenever we dial into a video call wearing it.

As gamers spend a lot of time seated in their gaming chair, Razer went about designing the Razer Iskur with the aim to provide proper posture and spinal health, while providing for high repeatability for gaming performance; maximum agility for optimised reach and responsiveness; and longer peak performance to minimise aches and strains.

The result?

A unique Iskur Lumbar support system that is fully customisable, extending up to 26 degrees.

Other features include multi-layered synthetic leather to withstand longer hours of wear and tear; high density foam cushions for a balance of support and comfort; memory foam head cushion for dynamic contouring of your head; and 4D armrests for fully customisable positioning.

The Razer Iskur is also engineered to carry up to a 136kg load and up to 190cm in height.

If gamers swear by this, it is a pretty damn good Work From Home (WFH) chair too for any regular users who need to sit for long hours by their desks!

Razer Iskur First Hand Experience

We got our hands on the Razer Iskur and tested it out. The unboxing was fun and as with all Razer products, a message from Razer’s outspoken CEO Tan Min-liang will greet you when you first open the box:

Self-assembly is required, but it is relatively easy and all the tools you need (just two Allen keys) are provided within the box. We referred to the video tutorial provided by a QR code link and it was intuitive enough, taking around 20 minutes to assemble the full chair.

Once assembled, it is time for us to rest on the chair and test it out:

Most of the customisation options are no different from most other ergonomic chairs and are easy to maneuver. The customisable lumbar support is something unique and we do like this feature very much as the lower spine is frequently where the ache occurs due to poor posture.

Compared to a support pillow which provide moderate, non-customisable support and a built-in lumbar support system that provides minimal customisable support, the Iskur lumbar support system is fully customisable.

The Razer Iskur is priced at a slight premium compared to other Singapore brand gaming chairs, but Razer is a brand name itself and you are also paying for quality and their engineering design. Compared to other brand name ergonomic WFH chairs though, it is priced very reasonably, considering it is built to last and for performance.

Verdict – if this is good enough for gamers, it is great too for regular folks as an ultra sleek, yet top functioning WFH chair. 🙂
