Best of Morton’s The Steakhouse – 21 Signature Dishes to celebrate 21st Anniversary

Morton’s The Steakhouse celebrates its 21st anniversary this year and they have created a selection of 21 of their time-honoured signature dishes and drinks to celebrate with diners.

The restaurant is well-known as a swanky American steakhouse, serving up succulent prime cuts and fine wine. Morton’s The Steakhouse has been satisfying medium-rare cravings in Singapore since 1998. From classic filet mignon to its legendary chocolate cakes, Morton’s has been a perennial crowd-favourite for quality meats, along its slew of signature F&B offerings. Read our past reviews of Morton’s.

Let’s walk through the 21 signature dishes in a recap.

With an extensive wine list that complements the well curated menu, the most brilliant star has to be Morton’s signature wine – the 1.Raymond “Primal Cut”. A Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Raymond Vineyards in Napa Valley specifically for Morton’s; the house red is smooth with medium tannis and balanced with fruit notes.

For spirit lovers, a fully stocked restaurant bar and The Bar at Morton’s offer top-shelf spirits, domestic and imported beers and creative cocktails, such as the signature MORtinis. Made with quality liqueurs and fresh ingredients, the 2. Chocolate, 3. Apple and 4. Lychee MORtinis are crowd favourites not to be missed.

After a glass of MORtini, the next gourmet experience is a warm loaf of 5. Morton’s Egg and Onion Bread, a complimentary savoury delight to whet one’s appetite.

Following the delightful start, the fresh 6. Broiled Sea Scallops wrapped in Bacon with Apricot Chutney is a tender dish and perfect appetiser to share, along with the flavourful 7. Jumbo Lump Crab Cake featuring whole pieces of crab meat; and the hearty 8. Lobster Bisque, a delicious velvety soup with a special brandy kick.

The quintessential place for steaks, Morton’s main courses take the form of hearty and comforting classics such as the 9. Center-Cut Prime Ribeye, the 10. Signature Cut New York Strip and the 11. Center-Cut Filet Mignon.

Using only the finest grain-fed USDA prime cuts containing some of the highest grade of marbling, all steaks are broiled and seasoned to perfection. Extremely tender, with an almost buttery texture, the Prime Ribeye is one of the richest, beefiest cuts available at Morton’s while the New York Strip and Filet Mignon offers a charred, caramelised exterior that gives way to a juicy centre with a good amount of marbling, flavour and texture. While perfect on its own, special enhancements such as the 12. Black Truffle Butter, 13. Poblano Butter and 14. Oscar-style Sauce are zesty, luscious condiments for the steaks.

Accompanying the main course is a selection of complementary side dishes, adding an element of contrast while bringing balance to the plate. Stealing the show with its delectable flavours, the 15. Creamed Spinach, 16. Sautéed Spinach & Button Mushrooms and 17. Bacon & Onion Macaroni & Cheese are well-loved American sides and absolute crowd-pleasers.

Ending the meal on a high, a choice of Morton’s classic desserts are available to share with your loved ones – the 18. Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake topped with raspberries and vanilla ice cream is both decadent and luxurious while the 19. Key Lime Pie and 20. Carrot Cake offers moistness and flavour. Before ending the perfect night, indulge in 21. Morton’s Coffee – a blend of Amaretto, Baileys and dark crème de cacao, finished with fresh whipped cream and a cinnamon sugar rim.

9. Key Lime Pie
