A marriage proposal often involves a ring, a bouquet of flowers, one bended knee and the magic words – “Will you marry me?”.
But one Singaporean took his plans to Sentosa and a step further to involve a fountain, a multimedia projection and even a video message from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Pan Zhengxiang told local media Channel NewsAsia that his proposal should not just be a ‘I Do’ moment.
Instead, he wanted his girlfriend Sophia Yang to enjoy the whole process.
On 7 July (Friday), the couple watched water and laser show Wings of Time outdoor show at Sentosa.
When it ended, he then led Yang onto the stage with the audience in view, which included the couple’s family and friends.
Following a speech and a singing session, his friends carried a big box on stage which had the engagement ring box in it.
A LED sign flashed the words “Will you marry me?”.
A video message – from the couple’s parents – was projected on the water fountain.
And yes, she said “yes”.
After putting a ring to it, a video montage was shown at iFly Singapore – an indoor skydiving simulation centre – displaying the couples’ family, friends and happy moments on the building facade.
Then, a recorded video message from PM Lee congratuating the couple was played.
If you think his proposal was #OTT (over the top), here are five more of such proposal videos:
From all of us at Alvinology.com, congratulations to the couple.
