World art heritage exhibition made up of Lego bricks debuts in Singapore

A UNESCO world heritage art exhibition made up of Lego bricks will debut in Singapore, the first ASEAN country to host the event.

Called PIECE OF PEACE World Tour, the exhibition will be held from 27 July to 3 September at Fort Canning Arts Centre.

The Singapore leg of the PIECE OF PEACE World Tour will only be held once — this is your only chance to experience the exhibition right here at home before it continues its tour around the world.

The exhibition highlights are LOVE EARTH, LOVE ASIA; and LOVE ASEAN, which will feature Lego replicas of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

LOVE EARTH, LOVE ASIA will showcase installations of 34 reconstructed World Heritage Sites from 25 countries.

These delicate works offer visitors a chance to view the beauty of the heritage sites from a brand-new perspective. Such as Mexico’s Historic Town of Guanajuato and Adjacent Mines; Greece’s Acropolis of Athens; Australia’s Sydney Opera House; Japan’s Itsukushima Shinto Shrine; South Korea’s Hwaseong Fortress; and many more.

LOVE ASEAN will shine the spotlight on nine World Heritage Sites found in ASEAN countries.

The Singapore edition of the world tour is a part of the LEGO® Build Amazing campaign: a year-long commitment to inspire kids to think creatively and unleash their future potential for success. Interactive by nature, the project allows visitors to add their own pieces of work to create something entirely new.

Exciting activities lined up for the Singapore event include:

Brick by Brick SG – You can indulge your creative flair and be a part of a large-scale community art project by building your very own Lego creations. Each day, the most creative models will be kept and used to build a Singapore-inspired topographical map. As new creations are added to the installation periodically, there will always be surprises to discover even for returning participants.

LEGO Kids Play Zone – Themed Cities of Wonders, this play zone invites children to delve into different worlds where imagination becomes real. Segregated into two, the play zone is modelled on some of the most popular Lego City and Friends sets.

Tickets are priced from $13 to $19 and are available here.
