Supercharge your Sundays at the New Oscar’s Brunch

It’s near the weekend and here is a recommendation for a weekend gourmet treat – the whole new Sunday Brunch at Oscar’s at Conrad Singapore, launched this month in April.

The restaurant underwent a minor facelift recently and a new logo was also introduced with the new look as well as updated buffet spread.

Diners can expect to supercharge our Sunday afternoon and indulge in an extended spread of the freshest seafood and oysters at the seafood bar, premium roast “London Duck” and suckling pig at the carving station.

The fatty “London Duck” which Singapore is crazy about at the moment

Catch chefs at work at live cooking stations, featuring a selection of international favourites, including specially created crab recipes by top chefs, new desserts decadence; while balancing off all that indulgence at the new 4 metre-long salad bar.

Highlights include:

Organic Treats at the Live Stations

At the Organic Pasta Station, you get to choose from two types of pasta or a risotto, prepared on the spot with choice of homemade organic tomato sauce as well as other fresh ingredients. Organic eggs are available too, prepared the way you want it. Best of all, indulge in the pan-seared foie gras with Fleur de sel vanilla salt, apple and passionfruit.

Chef’s Crab Creations

Singaporeans love crabs and any decent buffet should offer a few crab creation dishes. At Oscar’s, Executive Chef David Laval combines his French roots with Asian origins and Balinese influences to create a dish of live Indonesian crabs cooked with galangal, coriander, fresh chillies, tamarind, coconut cream and fresh herbs. In addition, Executive Sous-Chef Le Trung from Vietnam, Senior Chef De Cuisine Alex Siah from Singapore and Trainee Chef Tommy from Indonesia get to showcase their culinary talents too, with 2 types of personal crab creations available each Sunday.

New 4-Metre Long Salad Bar

I am into healthy eating now and this was what got me really excited about the new Sunday Brunch. A 4-metre long salad bar featuring the freshest, high quality ingredient! I had at least 4 helpings! The salad bar offers over 30 toppings including organic chia seeds, Montmorency cherries and red raisins, gluten-free mung bean chips and Arame wild seaweed. There is also a selection of ten small plates, including Chefs’ creations such as Quinoa with fava beans, roasted pumpkin, fresh mint and grapefruit; Vietnamese salad of Sous vide duck breast with fresh herbs, crushed peanuts and smoked Hoisin sauce; Roasted beetroot and green apple slices with grape seed oil and fresh sage. Even for the dressings, there are 8 options available exotoci ones such as Blueberry, vanilla bean, Champagne vinegarand yoghurt; Bragg organic apple cider, fresh green apple and vanilla bean; Verjus and lavender; and Fresh tamarindand kumquat vinaigrette.

Healthy Blitz

Another one for the health nuts – freshly made shakes featuring a variety of superfoods including chia seeds, fresh berries, mangoes, strawberries, Greek yoghurt and Jarrah honey; as well as health supplements such as Whey protein, Lucama, Macaand Camu powder.

Decadent Desserts
