When the migme content team shared that we were covering the WTA Finals in Singapore, not many of our colleagues or friends knew what it was all about. However, when we mentioned Maria Sharapova, everyone went “Ah…..” or “Wow”.

Last Sunday, migme hosted 12 celebrities, media and bloggers to catch a match. It was the first time for many to see Sharapova playing live in a tennis court just a few meters away. If you were wondering if she really is as noisy when playing as you’ve heard, yes, she does make brute, animal-like grunting sounds each time she hits the ball. One would associate such sounds more with a fighter like Bruce Lee versus an angelic beauty like Sharapova.

Nonetheless, the team were captivated by her athleticism and power on the court. She still managed to look ridiculously glamorous and beautiful, even when her body contorts to strange angles to hit the tennis ball.
