Introducing the NEW American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend Credit Card

Previously, I shared about a Singapore Restaurant Week 2013 dining experience at B@Rochester, hosted by American Express.

Over the sumptuous meal, enjoyed with wonderful dining companions, including Sheena Yu, Head – Public Affairs & Communications ASEAN, American Express International Inc, I found out more about one the cards launched by American Express in Singapore this year – the American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend Credit Card.

It is a card which I am eligible for and it offers some great travel perks if you travel frequently for both work and leisure like I do.

You get to earn 1 KrisFlyer mile for every S$1.20 spent on all your eligible purchases with your Card as a base earn rate, directly translating everyday spend into KrisFlyer miles.

If you spend a minimum of S$1,000 in a calendar month, you will receive a bonus of 300 KrisFlyer miles for every additional S$500 spent, with no cap to what you can earn. 

To sweeten the deal, American Express is also offering a Welcome Bonus now, whereby you receive a bonus of 5,000 KrisFlyer miles for the very first time you charge to your Card. Note that this offer is limited to first time applicants for American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards only.

The annual card fee for this card is S$256.80 (inclusive of GST), with a first year fee waiver. First two supplementary cards fee are permanently waived, while each additional supplementary card is charged at S$80.25 (inclusive of GST).
