Steve McCurry (born February 24, 1950) is an American photojournalist best known for his photograph, “Afghan Girl” that originally appeared in National Geographic magazine on the June 1985 issue.
He was in Singapore a few weeks back and was invited to give a lunchtime talk at my company. Rachel and I had the honour of meeting Steve in person and tuned in to his insights on photojournalism.
An avid fan of the National Geographic magazine, Rachel was very upset when she realised she should and could have brought a few issues of the magazines with Steve’s photo on the cover for him to autograph.
