It all started with one photoshopped picture of him with international star, Nicole Kidman, and his boastful claim to be Nicole’s exclusive stylist, among other international celebrities:

After he was exposed with being a fraud, his salon on Orchard Central closed down shortly.
It has been more than a year since.
Jonal Chong is now back with his newest salon to be launched in 2014 - Forever JC Yours Hair Couture:

To be honest, I think everybody should be given a second chance.
Jonal wrote a long Chinese poem on his Facebook page on his passion for hairdressing:
我在美髮界半個人生
十五歲那時候的我
便一刀一刀開始學習剪頭髮
我一條一條的剪
我一日一日的進修
當時完全不知道
原來我的人生註定就是這樣
我的遊樂場所就是我的髮廊
我的玩具就是我那把小小的剪刀
我的日子就是那一絲絲的頭髮和我的那把小小的剪刀

Looking through his Facebook pictures, he do seems to have some real pictures styling local and regional celebrities. I wish him all the best in his new business venture and I hope he would not resort to lying about his credential any more.
From his poem, can see that Jonal Chong does have a great passion for hairdressing. Hope he has a fresh start!
Hi, I went to Jonal Chong because his skills and service are good, not because he is a celebrity hairdresser. I bought a package from him in orchard central, and was disappointed when I found it closed. However, I am so pleased that he offered to continue with my package at his new place. This is called truth worthiness. It’s not like what the newspapers say.
I like the skills and Good service at Jonal chong salon.i had a package at orchard central and was disappointed when it closed suddenly. He is not really like what the media made him out to be.He soon SMS to inform he will be opening a salon at farrer road. I went down when it opened and he honored every cent that my package was worth. He personally attended to me each time and I just love his skills and friendliness. Guess what ?now that he is back to orchard area I signed a $6000 package per year till 2016! !
Agreed that jonal is a professional and he does deserve another come back. Thru his experiences and expertise, I am sure in no time he will be successful. Although his past scandal that tarnish his reputation, we as client do not agreed what paper wrote abt him. He is definitely a warm hearted and honest boss. May he be successful as before in OC.

A responsible & friendly service I ever had. After all the negative news, I was worried. But Jonal had proven that I was wrong- I received his message on his outlet at Farrer Rd! & to be able to continue with my previous package! I signed a new package as well. No doubt with his excellent skill !

I have been Jonal’s customer for over 8 yesrs since his salon opened at Center Point. His layered cut skills on my long hair is highly commendable. I believe with his competency, he will definitely re-establish a name for himself in the hair dressing scene in Singapore.
