Klook has announced a major expansion into sports and live events, unveiling access to four of the world’s most iconic sporting properties: the FIFA World Cup 2026, Roland-Garros 2026, Wimbledon 2026, and Formula 1.

The move marks a significant step in Klook’s evolution from a travel experiences marketplace into a one-stop platform for premium live event access, offering fans curated hospitality packages and tickets across some of the most in-demand global sporting spectacles.
Rising demand for event-led travel
The expansion comes amid a clear shift in travel behaviour, with Klook’s Travel Pulse 2026 findings showing that mega-events are increasingly driving travel decisions, particularly among Singaporean travellers.
Data shows that over 10% of Singaporeans consider specific events when choosing destinations, while nearly 15% express interest in travelling specifically for sporting events.
Key trends shaping this shift include:
- 75% of Singaporeans use mega-events as a trigger for longer trips, often extending their stay
- Nearly 50% stay an additional one to two days to explore local attractions beyond the event
- Around 55% book tickets at least four months in advance, with over 5% planning more than a year ahead
This longer planning window allows travellers to build fuller itineraries, combining live events with broader destination experiences.
At a market level, Singapore also stands out as one of the strongest outbound sports travel markets in Asia, with 31% of travellers having previously travelled overseas for sporting events.
