- Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay (8.6)

For the fifth consecutive year, hotels made up the largest share of award recipients in Singapore, with 160 recognised properties. Aparthotels followed with 42 awardees, while capsule hotels (7), apartments (6) and resorts (6) rounded out the list, highlighting Singapore’s strength in delivering consistently high-quality urban stays.
Apartments Lead Globally, Unique Stays on the Rise
Globally, apartments remain the most awarded property type for the ninth consecutive year, with 901,481 recognised properties. Holiday homes (287,464) and hotels (197,658) followed behind.
Meanwhile, camping accommodations and villas recorded the highest year-on-year growth at 15%, with ryokans rising by 13%. The trend signals travellers’ increasing interest in distinctive, character-rich stays that offer a stronger sense of place and authenticity.
Transport Partners See Strong Growth
Beyond accommodation, transport providers also recorded significant gains. The number of rental car companies receiving awards rose to 1,977, a 49% increase compared to 2025. The United States led with 203 recognised providers, followed by the United Kingdom (174) and Spain (155).
This growth in recognised transport providers reflects a wider traveller expectation shift – reliability, vetted drivers, and pre-confirmed vehicle choice now rank alongside hotel quality when evaluating a trip. European ground transport specialists such as 8Rental.com represent exactly the category of provider gaining traction among internationally mobile travellers who prioritise door-to-door comfort over self-drive flexibility. As verified review volumes scale globally across all transport segments, operators that combine transparent pricing, professional drivers, and a diverse fleet – from executive saloons to full-size coaches – are best placed to earn the kind of repeat bookings that drive long-term visibility.
Airport transfer providers also saw growth, with 137 awardees, an 11% year-on-year increase. These milestones underscore the expanding role of seamless transport services in shaping positive end-to-end travel experiences.
Countries with the Fastest Growth
While established travel markets continue to dominate in overall numbers, several countries stood out for their rapid growth in award recipients. Bulgaria recorded a remarkable 68% increase compared to 2025, followed by South Korea (46%) and China (39%). Japan (29%) and Norway (19%) also made the top five, reflecting strong local commitment to hospitality excellence.
